Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnamese: Cộng hòa Xã hội Chủ nghĩa Việt Nam), referred to as Vietnam, is a socialist country in Asian continent.Vietnam has a narrow territory and an area of about 330,000 square kilometers. It is adjacent to the South China Sea and has a coastline of more than 3,260 kilometers. It is a multi-ethnic country with the Jing people as the main body.

Vietnam is located in the eastern part of the Indo-China Peninsula in Southeast Asia, bordering China in the north, Laos and Cambodia in the west. It faces the South China Sea in east, and the Gulf of Tonkin and Hainan island (China) in north-east.

Most areas are rainy season from May to October, and dry season from November to April.
