Sigiriya is about 170 kilometers northeast of Colombo, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka. It was formerly the ancient city of Sri Lanka and the ruin is located on the approximately 200-meter-high "Lion Rock", from where you can see the entire jungle from all sides. The site was built in the 5th century AD and was added to the "World Heritage List" by UNESCO in 1982. Sigiriya, which connects nature and civilization, is known as the eighth wonder of the world and a national treasure landscape in Sri Lanka. Check out Sigiriya Tours page for more details about the Sigiriya tours.
