As the largest city in Sri Lanka, Colombo is known as the crossroads of the east and is an important trading port in the world. Galle is surrounded on three sides by the sea and its geographical location is superior. It is one of the most important hubs from Europe to the Far East in the era of great shipping. Sigiriya, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya in the central part are important tourist destinations that are rich in natural resources. They can be viewed alternately from north to south. Numerous historical monuments and nature parks let people linger.
