Khinthong Lao Silk specializes in textiles handwoven by Tai Daeng women from Xam Tai District. They are famous for their complicated patterning. Khinthong Xayalath, the owner, who is also a Tai Daeng woman from Xam Tai was a weaver. She collaborates with a group of weavers and dyers whose families have produced textiles for generations. The shop contains a collection of textiles in various sizes. We strongly recommend the store to get gifts when in Luang Prabang.

9. Queen Design Lao
Tucked under the shade of a huge mango tree, Queen Design Lao was the best clothing store in Luang Prabang. The owner Chris is an incredible clothing designer and artist and has curated the shop beautifully. The peace bomb jewelry is absolutely beautiful (and who doesn't love shopping for an amazing cause). The shop is designed with much passion and always worth a visit. If you look for something special - just go there.

10. Kopnoi Export Promotion Center
Kopnoi (which means a "little frog") is a gallery and a showcase shop located behind Mount Phousi. It's really a lovely shop to visit in Luang Prabang! This shop is filled with fair-trade products made by local Lao artisans such as cotton clothes, silk textiles and handicrafts. You could find some unique pieces here that you haven't found anywhere else, like rolled magazine placemats and some remade bomb jewelry that is different than anything at the night market. It's more than just a store but also an informative experience. Just check it out!
