The Peak Galleria:
This is a comprehensive shopping and dining place. There is a free viewing platform on the roof, which can overlook the beautiful scenery of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon Peninsula and Victoria Harbour. The view is stunning especially at sunset.

The Peak Tower:
This iconic building is the centerpiece of the hilltop and where visitors gather. In addition to various dining and shopping options, you can also go to the "Sky Terrace 428" observation deck, which provides a 360-degree panoramic view of Hong Kong's cityscape, Victoria Harbor, Kowloon and the South China Sea in the distance.

Sky Terrace 428:
This observation deck is located at the top of the Peak Tower and is one of the highest viewing platforms in Hong Kong. From here, you can enjoy the most representative scenery in Hong Kong - the prosperity on both sides of Victoria Harbor, which is especially suitable for taking pictures. Tickets cost about HK$50.

The Peak Circle Walk:
This is a trail that goes around the top of the mountain, about 3.5 kilometers in total, and takes about 45 minutes to walk. Along the way, you can enjoy the lush natural scenery and overlook the harbor and cityscape of Hong Kong Island. The trail is relatively flat, making it ideal for hikers.

How to get to Victoria Peak

Peak Tram:
The most classic and popular way, starting from Central on Hong Kong Island, the cable car will take you all the way to the top of the mountain. Riding the Victoria Peak Tram is an opportunity to experience the history of Hong Kong. Since its opening in 1888, it has become one of the symbols of Hong Kong.
The cable car station is located on Garden Road in Central. You can walk there from Exit A of the Central MTR Station. The cable car journey takes about 8 minutes, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Hong Kong Island along the way.
Recommendation: Avoid peak hours (such as weekends or holidays) to avoid crowds. You can book tickets online in advance to save time queuing on site.

Bus:
You can also choose to take Hong Kong’s No. 15 bus, which departs from the MTR Admiralty Station in Central and winds along the mountain roads of Hong Kong Island. There are also some scenic spots on the way. The journey takes about 30 minutes and the price is cheaper than the cable car.

Self-driving/taxi:
If you prefer the freedom of arrangement, renting a car or taking a taxi are also options. The road at the top of the mountain is winding and narrow, so you need to be careful when driving. Taxis are more expensive than cable cars, but more convenient.

Best time to Victoria Peak

Victoria Peak is suitable for visiting the Peak all year round, but the best time is in autumn and winter (October to February). At this time, the weather in Hong Kong is cool and pleasant, with moderate temperatures, suitable for outdoor activities, especially admiring the magnificent views of the Peak. On winter nights, the night view of Hong Kong is particularly charming, with bright lights and fresh air, making it perfect for sightseeing. If you like warm weather, spring (March to May) is also a good choice. The temperature is suitable and the flowers and plants are flourishing, which is suitable for walking and taking pictures. However, in summer (June to August), the temperature is higher and the humidity is higher. Although the temperature at the top of the mountain is lower than that in the city, you still need to avoid the hot period at noon, and it will be more comfortable to play in the morning and evening. Generally speaking, autumn and winter are the most recommended times.

At sunset:
Many tourists like to go to Victoria Peak at sunset to take photos of Hong Kong's famous "Victoria Harbor Sunset" scene. You can choose to wait at the restaurant or observation deck on the top of the mountain to enjoy the beautiful view of the charming golden sunset shining on the sea and high-rise buildings.

night view:
The night view of Hong Kong is also very charming, especially Victoria Harbor and the bustling city lights. Standing on the viewing platform on the top of the mountain, you can have an unobstructed view. The air is fresh at night and the field of view is wider, making it suitable for shooting night scenes.

The Verandah:
Located in a luxury hotel on a hilltop, this restaurant serves continental cuisine and is a great place for afternoon tea or a formal dinner.

Tips:

1. The weather is very important when climbing the Peak to overlook Hong Kong. In case of rainy weather, you can consider adjusting your itinerary to avoid obstructing your view.

2. Every weekend, there are many tourists on the cable car and observation platform, so be prepared to queue for more than 1 hour.
