Today we will have a classic but amazing Beijing city tour. With the hotel pick-up, we will drive to Tian'anmen Square. It is regarded as the largest public square in the world. After a short stop , we will walk through the Tiananmen Gate and step into the Forbidden City. It is today's highlight. Forbidden city was the royal palace of Ming and Qing dynasties. It is now the largest and most completely-preserved ancient imperial palace in the world. After around 2 hours exploration the palace, we will walk to Jingshan Park, which is just beside the Forbidden City. Climb up to the top of Coal Hill, you will have a very beautiful panoramic view of the Forbidden City.

Lunch is arranged at an authentic Chinese restaurant enroute. In the afternoon, we will go to visit Temple of Heaven. It is used to pray for a good harvest by the emperors. It is the existing largest structure for sacrifice to heaven in China. Before transferring to hotel, shopping hour at Panjiayuan Antique Market and a tea store.  If you like Chinese food or would like to have a try, Peking roast duck is recommended to you as a local speiciality.

One day exciting Great Wall tour. In the morning, the local tour guide will pick you up from the hotel lobby. Drive out of downtown for about 2 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall. This great wall is more popular among foreign visitors. We will spend more than 2 hours on the great wall. You will have enough time to hike along the wall. Tourists can choose to take a round-way cable car for up and down the wall (optional).

Lunch is offered at a local restaurant at the foot of the mountain. Have a break and drive back to downtown. After a stop at a jade store, we will visit the 2008 Beijing Olympic Park, having an exterior view and photo stop at Bird Nest and Water Cube.  Tour ends by dropping off at your hotel. A traditional Chinese foot massage is recommended after a hike (optional).

Mutianyu Great Wall

Then move to explore Beijing's local lifestyle by taking a rickshaw to visit the Beijing Hutong area, which can not be missed also. Then we will visit the Summer Palace, the best-preserved imperial garden in China. Lunch will be arranged on the way to Beijing Xi Railway Station (West Railway Station). Take a 5-hour high-speed train to Xi'an, the 2nd stop of this trip, another must-go destination in China as a historic and cultural city. The local guide is waiting for you at the Xian Beijing Railway Station (North Railway Station) and picks you up at the hotel.

It is an exciting day today to explore this ancient city. Firstly we will drive from downtown for 1.5 hours to Terracotta Warriors this morning. It is the highlight of today as an important archaeological wonder in the world. We will arrange you to take a shuttle bus in the scenic area to make you a worry-free trip. Then we will visit a potter figurine factory. You have a chance to learn how a pottery figurine is worked out. A Chinese lunch is arranged at a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, we will drive back. To experience more Chinese culture, Tang Bo Art Museum is definitely a good place, where you not only have a brief history and examples of Chinese art but also practice writing a couple of Chinese characters or Chinese painting. Then we will move to the Bell Tower area and have a walk around Muslim Quarter before transfer back to the hotel. Tang Dynasty Show is highly recommended as an optional night activity.

Ancient City Wall is another highlight in Xi'an. It witnesses the development of this old city. It represents one of the oldest and best-preserved city walls in China. Bicycle and sightseeing car are optional ways to visit the wall. Then we will move to Big Wild Goose Pagoda and see it from Yanta North Plaza. A typical Xian lunch is arranged before driving to the airport. Before boarding the flight, we will visit the Hanyang Mausoleum, which is the largest museum with the largest floor space in China. Upon arriving at Shanghai, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.

Then we will have a stop at the silk museum before lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit a Chinese typical garden downtown. That is the Yuyuan Garden. Enjoy your shopping time at the nearby Shanghai Old Street and Nanjing Road. It is a good time to choose some special souvenirs before departure from China. Then we will have a leisure walk along the Bund, from which you will also have a view of the skyscrapers on the opposite of Huangpu River, like the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Ｗorlｄ Financial Center, etc. We will drop you off after the tour. Shanghai Acrobatic Show is famous so it is highly recommended as an optional night activity if you are interested in it.
