Useful Information for Visiting Palm Jumeirah

  • How to get there: You can reach Palm Jumeirah by car, taxi, bus, or metro. If you take the Dubai Metro, you can get off at Jumeirah Lakes Towers or Dubai Marina station, and then take the Dubai Tram to Palm Jumeirah station. Walk a short distance to reach Gateway Station - this is the starting point of the Palm Jumeirah Monorail, which runs along the trunk of Palm Jumeirah. Or, you can take a water taxi to Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah.

  • When to visit: Palm Jumeirah is open all year round, but the best time to visit is from October to April, when the weather is cooler and more pleasant. You can also enjoy various events and festivals that take place on the island during this period, such as fireworks, concerts, and markets.

  • What to wear: Dubai is a cosmopolitan city that welcomes visitors from different cultures and backgrounds. However, it is also a Muslim country that respects Islamic values and traditions. Therefore, you should dress modestly and respectfully when visiting Palm Jumeirah, especially in public places such as malls, restaurants, and mosques. Avoid wearing revealing or tight-fitting clothes that expose too much skin. You can wear swimwear at the beach or pool areas, but cover up when leaving or entering these areas.

Tips:

  • Since the Palm Jumeirah monorail and the Dubai metro are separate systems, you cannot use the Dubai public transport card to ride the Palm Jumeirah monorail. You need to buy a separate ticket.

  • The best and only way to see the whole of Palm Jumeirah is to take a helicopter ride, which takes off from Atlantis Hotel and covers the highlights of Dubai in 10-20 minutes.
