Day 1 Arrival Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. It is famous for its gleaming skyscrapers, colonial architecture, charming locals, as well as a variety of natural attractions. Upon arriving at Kuala Lumpur airport, you will be greeted by our local guide and transfer to check in hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day to overcome the jet-lag.

Day 2 Kuala Lumpur – Kuala Selangor
Birding at Taman Rimba Ampang and Kuala Selangor Nature Park
Meals: Breakfast
Accommodation: In Kuala Selangor
Enjoy early breakfast in the hotel and you will be picked up by our local guide in the early morning. Our 1st stop is Taman Rimba Ampang. Taman Rimba Ampang is a part of the Selangor State Park and it is the nearest place to Kuala Lumpur for birding. It is a good place to watch the lowland forest birds, such as the star bird, Buff-rump Woodpecker, Blue Banded Kingfisher, Gold-whiskered barbet, etc.
In the afternoon, we will keep birding around Kuala Selangor and in Kuala Selangor Nature Park, watching Milky Stork, Stork-billed Kingfisher, etc.
Fireflies river cruise is recommended as your optional activity at night.

Day 3 Kuala Selangor
Birding at Kuala Selangor Nature Park

After breakfast, we will set off in the early morning for the Kuala Selangor Nature Park, which is an important bird area in Malaysia. It has a record of more than 157 species of birds. Tourists can watch Mangrove Pitta, Mangrove Flycatcher, Lesser Adjutant, Mangrove Whistler, etc. as well as many other specialties. Today you will have enough time to enjoy the birding trip in the Kuala Selangor area.
Day 4 Kuala Selangor – Fraser’s Hill
Drive to Fraser’s Hill for birding

After breakfast, depart from Kuala Selangor for Fraser's Hill. As a highland paradise, It is a very popular birding destination in Malaysia, with more than 250 species of wild birds. You will find many trails on Fraser’s Hill for bird watching and forest adventure, such as Hemmant Trail, Bishop Trail, Pine Tree Trail, Kindersley Trail, etc. Tourists will have a chance to watch Black Eagle, Little Egret, Purple Heron, Black-crown Night Heron, etc. some special hornbill species, like Great Hornbill, Rhinoceros, Bushy Crested Hornbill, etc.

Day 5 Fraser’s Hill
Birding at Fraser's Hill
Meals: Breakfast
Accommodation: In Fraser's Hill
Depart from the hotel in the early morning, we will keep birding around Fraser's Hill trails, like Telekom Loop and Girdle Road. In the afternoon, we could explore Jeriau Waterfall Trail, Hemment’s Trail as well as Bishop Trail.
Day 6 Fraser’s Hill – Kuala Lumpur
Birding at Fraser's Hill, Drive back to Kuala Lumpur
Meals: Breakfast
Accommodation: In Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast, we will check out form hotel in the morning. Then continue the birding tour by exploring Fraser’s Hill Old Road, you will have chance to see Black-thighed Falconet, Yellow Breasted Bulbul, Crested Serpent, etc. Drive back to Kuala Lumpur. Overnight and at leisure.
Day 7 Departure Kuala Lumpur
Transfer to airport

Enjoy your free time before the transfer to the airport.

We had 22 wonderful days in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. Every time we arrived in a new place, there was always someone waiting for us. This really comforted us a lot. Reduce our nervous feeling in a totally strange place with no language understanding. We were picked up from the airport with our luggage stored in a van every time then assisted on hotel check-in and toured with our private chauffeur and tour guide. Our tour guides are very professional and knowledgeable about their country and history and made us feel very welcome and relaxed like touring with old friends.
