Hello! Welcome to TAIWAN. You will be met by our local tour guide at the arrival hall of Taipei Airport and escorted to your downtown hotel by a private comfortable vehicle. Enjoy a free and leisurely time for the rest of the day. You can spend your time in the hotel to overcome the jet lag or explore the nearby areas. If you need any information about exploring around, please feel free to get some practical suggestions from your local guide.

Day 2 Taipei
National Palace Museum, Presidential Office Building, The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Taipei 101, Shilin Night Market

We will have a city discovery city tour in Taipei after breakfast. Our first stop will be National Palace Museum, which contains about 650,000 artworks and cultural relics, a must-see site where you can learn more about Chinese treasures
Then we will have a photo stop at the front of the Office Building square. After that, we will move to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, a building built to commemorate Chiang Kai-shek. The main building is 76 meters high, which is very eye-catching and spectacular.

Visit the landmark of Taipei --- Taipei 101 (TAIPEI 101) with a height of 509.2 meters (1,671 feet), which is the ninth tallest building in the world and the tallest in Taiwan. Climb to the Taipei 101 observation deck and overlook Taipei
The night market of Taiwan is heaven for foodies. We will visit Shilin Night Market, which is the largest night market in Taipei. Here you can find almost Taiwanese snacks. Wander around the night market and you're bound to have an appetite.

Day 3 Taipei
YehLiu Geopark, Shifen Old Street, Yin Yang Sea, Golden Waterfall, Jiufen Old Street

Today will continue a further discovery in the city of Taipei. After breakfast, we will go to YehLiu Geopark, in which the rocks on the shore are strange and beautiful, which look like fairy shoes, princesses, candlesticks, carp stones, queen's head, etc.

Then move to Shifen Old Street, a collection of lanes and alleys in and around the Shifen railway station area. Shifen Old Street is one of the famous spots to experience the lantern activity.
After that, enjoy a leisure trip and a photo stop at Yin Yang Sea.
The Golden Waterfall is a waterfall located near a village named Jiufen in Ruifang District. Because of the rain, the sulfides contained in these ores melted into the stratum with the rain and then flowed out with the abundant water oxidized where they flowed, and covered with a thick layer of rust deposits. And then become the current golden color.
Continue the trip to Jiufen Old Street. Jiufen, which flourished because of its gold production in the early days, gradually fell behind and regained its popularity because of several movies. The unique old-style buildings and slopes attract many tourists from all over the world.

Day 4 Taipei – Taichung
Drive to Taichung, the remains of the photogenic Longteng Bridge, take an old mountain line railbike, Wooden Japanese Colonial era building - Shengxing Railway Station, Learn Hakka Pound Tea-making.

After breakfast and check out from the hotel, we'll head down the west coast, stopping to visit some of Taiwan's most photogenic relics from both the Japanese colonial era and beyond. Check out the wooden Japanese colonial-era Shengxing Railway Station and enjoy an old mountain line railbike to experience the beauty of Sanyi's mountain culture. We'll take a lesson in Hakka pound tea making in Miaoli before reaching Taichung where after checking into our hotel, dine at the Taiwanese-style restaurant recommended by Michelin Bib Gourmand.

Day 5 Taichung - Sun Moon Lake

After hotel breakfast, we will have a nice morning city tour in Taichung, then we'll head into the mountains to visit the majestic Sun Moon Lake, one of Taiwan's most popular sites. Enjoy your pleasant afternoon with both the naturally beautiful scenery and the culturally rich attractions. Visit Antique Assam Tea Farm, a plantation that has metamorphosed through the shape-shifting changes in the Taiwan tea industry to become a living legacy to Taiwan’s rich tea culture. Take about trip, and enjoy the majestic scenery of Sun Moon Lake.

Day 6 Sun Moon Lake – Alishan
Wuchang Temple, Alishan Forest Hike Trip

Today is all about mountains as we head from Sun Moon Lake to the mountain town of Jiji. We'll visit two temples standing as a testament to the earth's raw power. Visit the ruins of Wuchang Temple before heading to Zhushan for lunch. Afterward, we'll head to hike through the verdant forests of Alishan and enjoy the mountain scenery. Alishan is famous for its high mountain tea, which you may have a chance to have.

Day 7 Alishan – Kaohsiung
Alishan Forest Railway Experience, Foguang Temple, Boat Trip Along Love River
Meals: Breakfast

In the morning, we'll get up early and hop on the Alishan Forest Railway to catch a view of the area's famed "sea of clouds" that appears around dawn. Afterward, we'll head to Kaohsiung, Taiwan's second-largest city, where we'll spend the rest of the morning exploring Foguang Temple, which is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in Taiwan. After lunch, we'll take a boat tour of the city's scenic Love River before checking into our hotel. That evening, you will enjoy dinner with a view.

Day 8 Kaohsiung - Pintung – Taitung
Drive to Taitung, Eco-friendly Cocoa Farm, Chihpen Hot Spring

Today, start with reaching Taiwan's southernmost city to take a look at the eco-friendly cocoa farm in the morning. Then we will drive through Taiwan's banana belt to hit the pretty east coast town of Taitung. It's time to head to the beautiful east coast with its natural ecology and indigenous culture. After checking in at the hotel, take your time to relax in the famous Chihpen hot spring.

Day 9 Taitung – Hualien

After breakfast, we will stop by National Taitung University, and then we'll spend this day exploring the landscapes considered by some as Taiwan's most beautiful road while driving through the scenic East Rift Valley. In addition to being where two tectonic plates meet, it's also where Taiwan's best rice is grown. We'll be surrounded by bucolic splendor before reaching the coastal city of Hualien. On the seventh day of our tour in Hualien, you will enjoy paddle boating on scenic Liyu Lake, and magnificent oceanfront scenery, absorb the poetic and nature-filled Pine Garden Heritage site, and end your day with amazing food at Dongdamen night market . You will have a chance to taste Taiwanese hot pot with fresh and local seafood or get a taste of Hualien cuisine at Dongdamen

Day 11 Hualien - Taipei
Taroko Gorge National Park, Qingshui cliffs

Spend the final day of your eight-day journey exploring the world-renowned Taroko Gorge National Park and enjoying a guided trip to the park's gorgeous gorge, rapid rivers, and wonderful waterfalls. After experiencing the majesty of Taroko Gorge, we'll slowly make our way back up the east coast, pausing beneath the Qingshui cliffs (Taiwan's largest coastal cliffs) before heading back to Taipei.
