Stand where Taki and Mitsuha crossed paths in that fateful moment, and let the quiet neighbourhood hush around you. Snap a photo on those very steps, and you'-ll feel the film'-s bittersweet romance, time and space seem to dissolve in this unassuming corner of Tokyo.

Enter the rain-washed realm of The Garden of Words (言の葉の庭) at Shinjuku Gyoen, a sprawling oasis where Japanese and French garden designs intertwine. Leave Tokyo's neon maze behind and head south to Kamakura. First, the Great Buddha (鎌倉大仏), a bronze giant watching over the coast for 700 years. Its weathered stillness echoes Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba (鬼滅の刃), as if demons and swordsmen once roamed these ancient grounds. Moss and prayer hum create a timeless, mystical scene.

Hop aboard the Enoden (江ノ電), a vintage green tram hugging the shoreline. Sea breeze pours through open windows as it rattles past bays and sleepy stops. Leave Tokyo for Mount Fuji, like the train in 5 Centimeters per Second. Climb the 400 steps of Arakurayama Sengen Park, where the vermilion pagoda and snow-capped peak appear together, a scene Shinkai animated, now before your eyes. It's more than a view; it's a frame waiting for you.

Descend to Fujiyoshida's Honmachi-dori, where the Nichiwa Clock Shop stands. At the end of the straight road, Fuji is perfectly framed between old buildings, the very street from Your Name. A single photo captures a moment like a film poster, and you've stepped into another Shinkai storyboard.

As Fuji's silhouette fades, board the Shinkansen, a silver arrow racing to Kansai. The view shifts from snowy peaks to the Izu coast, then to Lake Biwa's shimmer. The scent of ekiben mingles with wheel rhythm, two and a half hours to dream across time and space.

Arriving at Kyoto Station, dusk gently wraps the ancient capital. From sacred mountain to historic city, from anime dreams to centuries of heritage, you've captured Fuji in your camera and the Shinkansen's speed in memory. Kyoto's lights spread ahead, and your journey's story has only just begun.

Depart from your hotel in the morning and head to Fushimi Inari Taisha (伏見稲荷大社). Thousands of vermilion torii gates wind up Mount Inari, forming a tunnel of light and shadow that appears in Detective Conan: Crossroad in the Ancient Capital (名探偵コナン 迷宮の十字路) and Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha (いなり、こんこん、恋いろは。). With every step, you seem to walk between reality and myth.

Then proceed to Kiyomizu-dera (清水寺), Kyoto's oldest temple. Its suspended wooden stage offers a panoramic view of the city and also features in the same Conan film. Through the changing seasons, the valley and distant peaks compose an eternal painting, standing on the stage, you can almost touch the breath of a thousand-year-old capital.

In the afternoon, change into ninja attire and enter a hidden dojo. Learn shuriken throwing, stealthy footwork, and secret techniques from the warring-states period. At that moment, you are no longer a passerby, but a real ninja moving through the shadows of history.

Afterwards, stroll through Pontocho (先斗町), a narrow alley lined with wooden machiya and teahouses with hanging noren curtains. Walk to the end of the lane and you'll reach the Kamo River (鴨川). Sit on a riverside terrace, feel the breeze on the water, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon moment in Kyoto.

Before evening falls, the tour comes to a satisfying end, and a private car will transfer you back to your hotel.

The streets are lined with countless storefronts displaying colorful posters and life-sized character standees, making it an absolute dream for anyone who loves Japanese pop culture.

Evening falls at Dotonbori, where neon signs and giant crab and Glico man light up the canal. Sizzle takoyaki and okonomiyaki at bustling street stalls, surrounded by the savory aroma of grilled seafood and sweet sauces, then return to your hotel with your stomach full and your heart happy.
