Palawan is a long and narrow island in southwestern Philippines, attracting more and more tourists with its natural beauty and adventure tour. Palawan Island is famed as "Modern Garden of Eden", "The Last Pure Land of the Philippines", "Undeveloped Virgin Land" and "A Paradise of Wildlife". With an area of 11,785 square kilometers and a population of 31,154,800, Palawan Island and the surrounding thousands of small islands are still maintaining its original natural ecology, so it is called "Utopia at Sea". Palawan is famous for its underground caves and streams. Palawan is also a paradise for diving and snorkeling. The famous dive sites are Rita, Pandan, Panglima and Tubbataha, among which Tubataha is a great place for watching turtles and birds. Palawan has high temperatures throughout the year. The dry season is from January to May when the weather is dry and it is the best time to travel.
