Heaven Lake

The Heaven Lake, also known as Tianchi Lake, is a crater lake located in the Changbai Mountain, Jilin Province. Both China and Korea have the waters of the Heaven Lake. The Heaven Lake is the highest and deepest crater lake in China. Till now, we don’t know where the water in the Heaven Lake is from.

 

The Heaven Lake is surrounded by 16 peaks. On a good day in summer, the mountains, the blue sky and the white clouds are reflected in the Heaven Lake. Thousand Island Lake

The Thousand Island Lake is an artificial lake located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The Xinanjiang Reservoir holds up the water of the upper reaches of the Xinanjiang River and changes the upper reaches of the river to a huge lake. The towering mountains and high ridges are submerged and turned to the 1078 islands on the reservoir, hence the name.
