The Structure of Oriental Pearl TV Tower
Oriental Pearl TV Tower is located at the tip of Lujiazui area and on the bank of Huangpu River. As a resplendent pearl of Huangpu River, Oriental Pearl TV Tower stands among the modern buildings of Lujiazui area and echoes with exhibition of the world's architectures in the bund, which shows the spectacular scenery of the international metropolis.
With a multi-tube structure, Oriental Pearl TV Tower consists of three nine pillars with the diameter of nine meters, Space Capsule, the upper sphere, five pellets and a tower base. With the diameter of 158.4 meters, the tower base has three floors.
There are four floors at the lower sphere with the diameter of 50 meters and the center elevation of 93 meters. The lower sphere is located in the height between 68 meters and 118 meters. As an indoor playground, the power distribution room of the lower sphere is set in a bowl-shaped shell.
The upper sphere is located in the height between 250 meters and 295 meters. With the diameter of 45 meters and the center elevation of 272.5 meters, the upper sphere has 9 floors, including the floors of public equipment, FM room, cooling equipment, transmitter room, sky KTV room, revolving restaurant, viewing platform, microwave room and power distribution room. With the diameter of 14 meters, Space Capsule is situated in the height from 335 meters to 349 meters.

Transparent Sightseeing Elevator & Corridors
There is a panoramic and transparent sightseeing elevator in the hall of the ground floor which is able to carry 50 persons. It takes only 40 seconds to deliver you to the 263-meter high sightseeing corridor by the speed of 7 meters per second. The double-decked elevator with such a big capacity and such a high speed is the only one in domestic. You will experience a sense of lightning. Standing on the 263-meter high sightseeing corridor, you will have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River. This location is the best place to overlook the whole Shanghai city. In clam and sunny day, you can even see Sheshan Mountain and Chongming Island.
There are two transparent sightseeing corridors outdoor which are located respectively in the height of 259 meters and 90 meters.
